New students can apply for the student visa to the Chinese embassy or consulate in their countries with JSUT Admission Notice, the original copies of the Visa Application for Study in China (JW201 or JW202), Foreigner Physical Examination Form and the blood test report.
Students who will be studying in China for more than 6 months are required to obtain a Student X1 Visa. The Student Visa will be valid for 30 days since the date of entering China. Students must apply for a Residence Permit before the expiration of the visa to obtain a legal status in China. Please register within the time limit stated in the Admission Letter. Do not enter China too early. Students are required to register and pay school fees before they apply for a Residence Permit.
Students who will be studying in China for less than 6 months may apply for a Student X2 Visa. Students holding the visa may stay in China for the duration specified in the visa and need not apply for a Residence Permit. They are required to apply for a Residence Permit before the expiration of the visa if they extend their study duration.
